Kasai's 3R Project
Kasai UK’s 3R Project—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—reflects our commitment to sustainable innovation within the automotive industry. To address the challenge of excess scrap fabric produced during manufacturing, we partnered with Northumbria University to bring fresh thinking into our sustainability efforts. Fashion Design and Marketing students Elle Taylor and Bea Hayes completed their year in industry, applying their creative expertise to repurpose discarded materials into a range of stylish and functional accessories. The project not only diverts waste from landfill but also demonstrates how cross-industry collaboration can unlock new possibilities for circular design and responsible production.
